Middle School

Westwood Middle School

Grades 6-8

A Team of Professionals

The middle school is taught by a team of sixth, seventh and eighth grade teachers. They have a unique understanding of the needs of this age group and how to challenge and encourage their best growth.

A Step Up Academically

Students step up from elementary school into a more demanding curriculum with more critical thinking and independent study. The reading curriculum continues with emphasis on comprehension, critical thinking, and reader response. The study of English builds with emphasis on writing, editing, and understanding language. The math goes beyond the four basic operations. Social studies and science become more project based and more relevant.

What Our Parents Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

We chose Westwood Schools for our children because of its commitment to providing an exceptional education.  The smaller classrooms ensure that each student receives personalized attention, fostering an environment where they can thrive academically.  The rigorous curriculum challenges and stimulates their intellectual curiosity, preparing them for a brighter future ahead.    The school embraces Christian principles and morals, instilling values that go beyond the classroom.    Westwood Schools stood out to us as the ideal place where our children could receive a top-notch education while being surrounded by a supportive community that shares our values.

Jared and Ashlee Shiver

We chose Westwood Schools for Addington because we knew she would not only get the best Christian based education in our area, but she would be taught by teachers who were loving, caring and nurturing. There is no feeling in the world like dropping our child off at a school where you know they are going to be well taken care of mentally, physically, socially and spiritually.  Westwood provides so many unique experiences and opportunities for students in the classroom and community.  We love Westwood because of the family atmosphere not only during school hours, but also at school events and all extracurricular activities.  We could not be prouder to be part of the Westwood family.
