Head Baseball Coach

Westwood Schools is seeking a self-motivated, success driven individual to enhance our program and campus as the head baseball coach.

Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the coach will oversee all activities of the baseball program, including game/practice planning and scheduling, management of uniforms, practice equipment, and other pertinent issues related to the program.

This leader should stress strong fundamentals, excellent teamwork, and demand high quality sportsmanship from all student-athletes. As well, the coach will develop competitive players through weight training, off-season and summer workouts, as well as athletic enhancement through competition.

Other important duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • A willingness to teach classes and coach in addition to coaching duties.
  • Attend coaching clinics as feasible.
  • Maintain safe, orderly and clean facilities.
  • Promote student athletes and sportsmanship within all programs
  • Promote the school vision and mission.
  • Staying current on the various rules and regulations with GISA.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Headmaster.

Qualifications desired:

  • Experience in teaching, coaching, supervision and/or administration. Applicants should possess strong leadership and management skills along with valuable interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidates should be able to manage relationships with faculty, students, coaches, school administrators and the public.
