  • Wednesday – College Day, 
  • Thursday – Character Day, 
  • Friday – Orange Out Day. 

Homecoming shirt orders are due Friday by break. Short sleeve $14 and long sleeve $16. See any student government member.

School  Calendar Change: Teachers will have a workshop January 7 and 8 and students will return to school on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

The Varsity Cheerleader Freezer sale is November 8. Please mark your calendars and make a few casseroles to bring in that morning at 8 am to donate to the sale. (No frozen desserts, please.)

The High School office has Westwood hoodies on sale for $40 each. Mediums and larges are available.

Westwood is collected items for care packages to be sent to our soldiers serving overseas. A list of needed items is on the box. Drop off any items in the yellow box in the Commons Area. Items include DVDs and Books, Razors for men and women, Mini Klenex, Games (Checkers, Yahtzee, Uno, etc) Hot Chocolate, Chips, Coffees, Tooth Brushes, Books/ Magazines, Jerky, Body Wash (male and female mini-size), Shaving creme (male and female), Face cleanser, socks, mini cotton swabs, pretzels, mixed nuts, chex mix, lotion, gum, mini shampoo and conditioner  nerf footballs, coffee cups, hats, pencils and pens, popcorn, music CD’s, baby wipes, envelopes and stationary, chap stick  combs, cookies, mouthwash, candy crackers, and cheeze its. This is through the local Chamber of Commerce organizations who are collecting items for the “Soldier’s Angel” project. These should be unwrapped items for baskets that will be mailed overseas for Christmas. There are 2,518 soldiers this year. Items should be sent to the school by October 10.

There is a lost and found in the middle / high school commons area. Items not claimed will be emptied each Friday.

Students in grades 9-11 need to remember to bring in their $14 to pay for the PSAT to be given on October  17.
