The National Honor Society held its initiation Tuesday, March 6. Nineteen students were initiated in the ceremony. Tyler Brooks, Connor Carr, Kyle Collins, Trip Cooper, John Davis, Abby Foister, Aly Godwin, Bay Holton, Liz McDaniel, Emma Milner, Neel Patel, Cole Pollock, Caitlin Santiago, Austin Smith, Slater Stringer, Lexie Taylor, Levi Warren, Max Waters, and Carson Williams. Parents pinned their students as part of the ceremony. Officers Sydney Lamberth (President), Lauren Allen (President-Elect/ Vice President), Mitt Patel (Treasurer) and Jonte Harris (Secretary) along with adviser, Vicki Davis, and College Counselor/Curriculum Director, Dicksy Hinesley, led the candlelight ceremony. NHS is the highest honorary on campus. Students must maintain over an 85 average and perform 3 hours of community service and 2 hours of school service each semester to remain active in the club and receive an NHS cord at graduation.
