STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific areas— Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It is a blended learning approach that gives students the opportunity to experience different ways of learning and problem solving. Of the top 10 jobs in the US, nine of them are STEM related.
Across the nation, STEM has been picking up speed. Westwood has applied for a grant to integrate STEM into our curriculum for the 2018-2019 school year. Join us for a time of demonstration and hands on participation so that you and your children can get a better understanding of what STEM really is.
This is open to students in grades 3-8 and their parents. We hope to see you then!
