Mission, Vision, and History
Westwood School is an independent Christian based community school providing a college preparatory curriculum for grades K3-12.
Our purpose is to offer a quality education in a safe environment for the whole child based on the philosophy that every child can learn.
A Westwood education is a unique opportunity for academic, physical, spiritual, and social development through the cooperative efforts of students, faculty, and families.
EnrichmentMusic, art, language and technology are part of the enrichment program at Westwood. We believe in educating the whole child and work to give students a wide variety of experiences.
Learning LabThe Westwood Learning Lab is a nationally recognized program that helps Westwood children succeed. From remediation to enrichment, we work hard to challenge every child at his/her level of ability.
High school students program apps, create personal websites, learn how to make their own films and more. Elementary and middle school students learn how to type at an age-appropriate level. Elementary students learn basic coding techniques during special coding events hosted in the Computer Lab.
Keeping parents informed is an important part of the parent-teacher partnership at Westwood. Tools such as Powerschool and Bloomz help parents stay abreast of their child’s academic performance. Powerschool and Bloomz can be accessed via email, website, or smartphone app.
