Assistant Headmaster

Reports To: Headmaster

Primary Function: Assist the Headmaster in leading and guiding an efficient, effective school. This dynamic leader will assist with curriculum and instructional programs, while supervising, disciplining and monitoring students to effectively maintain a safe and orderly school.

Consideration may be given to this being a part-time position.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Educational Level: Masters Degree and Leadership Certification with (3) years teaching and (3) years administrative experience.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the Headmaster in the overall administration of the school.  Attends special events held to recognize student achievement, staff meetings, professional learning, training sessions, and extracurricular events. Abides by all Code of Ethics for Educators and Board policies. Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and material; adheres to chain of command. Communicates vision/mission to school personnel as appropriate. Computer skills, along with organizational and interpersonal skills are needed for effectiveness. Other duties may be assigned as well.
