It is that time of year again. We’re collecting items school-wide to make food boxes for some in our community who need it most. Each class is assigned to bring items. Please help out by sending your items into the school to your child’s homeroom teacher during December.

Today, Thursday November 19, we had a dress down day to raise money for the Mitchell County Food Bank. (Hats off to Mrs. Gail Williams and the Y Club.) Many classes have packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and Backpacks for children in Appalachia.

Remember that the Tuesday we return, December 1, we’ll have a schoolwide dress down day to support Thornton West. Please send $2 or more to help the family.

Merry Christmas to friends and family! Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!
