Organizations

Westwood has a wide variety of organizations supporting the efforts of the school. Please contact the office if you wish to join any of these organizations or have any detailed questions.

Student Activities

• Athletics - Many athletic programs abound for elementary, junior high, and high school.
• Drama Club - The Westwood One Act Play has received superior ratings at the state competition for many years and many best actor/ actress awards.
• Literary Team - We have an award winning literary team (state winners for multiple years) including extemporaneous speaking, voice competitions, and essay.
• 4-H - the 4-H program is very active on our campus with many students participating in sports competitions such as archery, speaking competitions such as DPA, livestock competitions, and in leadership at the regional and state level.
• National Honor Society - the highest honorary of the school for students in grades 10-12 who have received an 85 or higher in their academic courses and show the characteristics of leadership, scholarship, character, and service. This organization sponsors the Special Olympics Bocce Ball Tournament in the Fall, a poinsettia sale at Christmas, and a blood drive each spring.
• Annual Staff - the organization that produces our annual. Please contact bcaldwell@westwoodschools.org to purchase an ad.
• FCA - Fellowship of Christian Athletes
• Y-Club - a Christian service organization which does various projects including Operation Christmas Child.

Support Organizations

• PTO - Parent Teacher Organization which works with the Fall Festival and supporting the academic needs of the school.
• Booster Club - This organization supports the athletic events of the school and hosts special events.
• Grandparents Club - This organization is by school grandparents who raise money and support school efforts.
• Board of Directors - the governing body of the school.
