The Purpose of Westwood School
Westwood exists to offer the community an opportunity for a quality education. This is to be accomplished by providing a program of studies which will prepare each student to attend college if he/she desires.
The administration is responsible for providing an atmosphere conducive to learning. This implies an excellent faculty, limited faculty/student ratio, firm but fair discipline, daily devotional (non-denominational), and tutorial assistance for those in need. The academic program is realistic in its demands upon the students as it is realized that each graduate of the institution may not elect to go to college. At the same time, it is important that each graduate have a broad enough academic background to enable him or her to go to college if he/she chooses.

Community Service
Community Service is part of what we do at Westwood. Here, our students are serving as Special Olympics officials for a regional bocce ball tournament. Sponsored by our National Honor Society and the local Rotary Club, this annual event is a project where students in grades 8-12 volunteer to help serve and make the time enjoyable for all.
