The Purpose of Westwood School
Westwood exists to offer the community an opportunity for a quality education. This is to be accomplished by providing a program of studies which will prepare each student to attend college if he/she desires.
The administration is responsible for providing an atmosphere conducive to learning. This implies an excellent faculty, limited faculty/student ratio, firm but fair discipline, daily devotional (non-denominational), and tutorial assistance for those in need. The academic program is realistic in its demands upon the students as it is realized that each graduate of the institution may not elect to go to college. At the same time, it is important that each graduate have a broad enough academic background to enable him or her to go to college if he/she chooses.
